Shipment processing time

All orders of products that are in stock are normally processed within 24 to 48 hours, depending on what day the order was placed and at what time.

For backordered products, we send in a request for the product to our designated distributor that same day. We normally receive our backorders between 7-14 days, depending on the distributor.

NOTE: Due to the global pandemic, the health of our loved ones and coworkers is top priority. Our distributors take this very seriously and have taken necessary measures to ensure safe work environments for their employees. Our backorders are delayed up to a minimum of one month.

We will do our best to expedite the orders we process while maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. As we are a small business, only two sets of sanitized and gloved hands touch the products in our warehouse. We also mask up when working with our prducts so you can be rest assured that once your orders are received by you, there is the least amount of chance we can guarantee of any viral or bacterial transfer, COVID-19 or otherwise. We also send updates to our customers as we receive them. Don’t worry! We haven’t forgotten about you!

Shipping rates and delivery estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Parcel shipments will be tracked and will be covered with insurance.

Shipment to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses

If you can receive packages, we will ship to you!

Shipment confirmation and order tracking

As soon as we process the shipping for our orders, the customer will receive a shipping notification either through Canada Post (for parcels/packages) or via our email address: sewalamode6@gmail.com.

-Free shipping on single Canadian orders over $150 (AFTER discount and BEFORE taxes.) shipped via Canada Post. Free shipping does not apply to courier shipping.

Lettermail is available on items that fit the dimensions of the over-sized lettermail standards. If you choose this option there is no tracking or insurance on your package. Lettermail has no guaranteed delivery time and we cannot check on the status of your package once it leaves our warehouse. Lettermail tends to be slower than parcel mail and sometimes takes up to 2-4 weeks. You will only see this option if your package is small enough. *We will not be held responsible for lost packages, if you choose lettermail it is at your own risk and cannot be refunded.

Damages/Lost Packages

Sew a la Mode is not liable for any products damaged during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier or our support team directly (sewalamode6@gmail.com) to file a claim. Please save all packaging material and damaged goods before filing a claim.

If you suspect your package has been lost or stolen, please contact us and we will file a claim with Canada Post. They will investigate and if they determine the package lost, they will accept the claim and we will send you a refund/store credit. We are not able to refund packages without going through the proper steps to determine what has happened to the package.

International Shipping Policy

At this time, we do not offer shipping to outside of Canada. We aren’t very Harmonized Code-savy, but we have aspirations to become an international shipper in the furture! For reference:

International Shipping: Fabric and handcrafted products shipped outside of Canada may be subject to customs, duties and importation fees. Customs forms are filled out with information about your shipments contents and value. You are responsible for charges incurred at customs.
